Let's Hear it For the Boys

I'm behind, and combining two posts today.  Today was fairly uneventful.  Napped, did some homework, and watched some tv with a friend.  All in all, it was the perfect Sunday.
5/1/11 I'm Thankful...
1.  For the smell of detergent and fabric softener that is always in our laundry room.  It makes me incredibly happy.
2.  McDonalds after a night of too many margaritas to make you feel normal again.
3.  Good hair days.  My curls looked awesome tonight. 

I was going to write a nice long ode to my favorite group of boys in the world, since I hung out with them pretty much all day yesterday.  I think that will have to wait until I have more time to invest in it.  I want to do those men justice.  For now, let me just say (I doubt they'll ever actually read this) that I have the greatest men in my life.  These men are often crass, occasionally vulgar, and always entertaining.  However, I'm honored enough to know that they are also brilliant, incredibly kind, and the greatest people I will ever know.   Jaiah and Gabe worked harder than anyone to put me back together again, and I can't EVER thank them enough.  Jaiah has danced with me at several weddings, driven in an ice storm to keep me company and prevent me from losing my mind, and kept me laughing through some of my teariest days.  Gabe has pushed me to move on, let me cry on his Jersey Shore costume at 1 am, let me play with his dog when I've needed it, and taken care of me like I'm his family.  They along with Jeff, Keith, and others have reminded me of who I was before, and thanks to them, have helped me back to myself.  I love them dearly.  I feel like they are my other family, because I have the same feeling of love and safety with them.  So maybe that was the long ode I had in mind.  Anyway, I'm leaving in a few weeks, and Gabe will move to Cleveland while I'm gone, so last night was my 'Goodbye Party' with my favorite men.  I had the greatest time.  After all of that, here's my list.
4/30/11  I'm Thankful...
1.  to spend some time by the pool with Gabe and Jeff.  Even with my slight sunburn, it was a lovely way to spend the afternoon.
2.  for cheese dip twice in one day.
3.  for walking down St. Charles and laughing the entire way

I think that's all I've got for now.  Work will come early in the morning.  Goodnight y'all!
