"Why you wanna give me the run around"

Taken from karaoke lyrics I heard and greatly appreciated tonight.  It's been a long day, but a good one, nonetheless. 

5/11/11  I'm Thankful...
1.  For my mom who lets me drag her into every store at the outlet mall to find the right shoes and rain jacket and a bathing suit (which I don't need) for my trip, and all she says is "If you're happy, I'm happy."  Hmm.  I think she's one of the few people who means that when they say it.
2.  For naps at 8:00pm.  They still feel amazing, regardless.
3.  For friends who are genuinely good at karaoke.  They can really sing, and I enthusiastically support them because I cannot, and I refuse to feel inadequate.  It's always amazing fun either way.
4.  For the chance to jump start someone's car.  It's always good to pay it forward.
5.  For the building excitement of being able to attend a wedding of strangers (to me, not each other) while I'm in Uganda.  How cool is that?
